The use of birch branches soaked in water for infusions is a deeply rooted tradition that contributes to stimulating blood circulation and promoting a state of deep relaxation during the sauna. After the sauna, it is recommended to cool down outdoors to optimize the absorption of the essential oils from the birch whisk. Cooling down before showering maximizes the beneficial effect.

The practice of treating the body with a birch whisk offers numerous health benefits, including:

Before use, the birch whisk should be gently soaked in warm water until the leaves are sufficiently moist, making them ideal for massage. Begin with the legs, from the feet upwards to the thighs, followed by the arms, starting at the hands up to the shoulders, and conclude with a gentle massage of the back, chest, and abdomen. The sauna temperature should be between 70°C and 90°C for the duration of the massage.

A birch whisk can be used multiple times, provided that after use it is cleaned with cold water, shaken out, and hung to dry in a dark, well-ventilated room. Re-moistening is required before each subsequent use.
